Bible Lesson 12

What did Jesus do?

He Taught Us God’s Character and Will

In our world we have a set of values that dominate our culture:

  • Blessed are the strong and independent, for they will take care of themselves.
  • Blessed are the pushy, for they shall get what they want.
  • Blessed are the argumentative, for they shall always get in the last word.
  • Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for more, for their greed shall motivate them to work hard.

But Jesus taught us the kind of heart that God values, the kind of character that reflects his nature and will bring true happiness and reward.
