Bible Lesson 20

How do we know if we are saved?

Because we look more and more like Jesus

It has been said that we are saved by faith alone, but not by faith that is alone. In other words, if our faith is real and saving, it will be accompanied by holy living. Or as James says, “Faith without works is dead.”

Many people claim to love and follow Jesus, but how can we know (or at least have a pretty good idea) who has really been saved by Christ and given a new heart? “By their fruit you shall know them!”

Whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked.  (1 John 2:6)

El parecer a Jesús

Juan 14 (BLPH)

Resembling Jesus

John 14

If you love me, you will keep my commandments; I, for my part, will plead with the Father that he send you another Counselor who will be with you always: the Spirit of Truth whom those who are of the world cannot receive because they neither see him nor know him; you all, on the other hand, do know him, because he lives in you and is in the midst of you.

I will not leave you as orphans; I will return to be with you.

1 John 3

Those who have been born in the family of God are not characterized by practicing sin, because the life of God is in them. Therefore they can’t keep sinning, because they are sons of God. Therefore, we can identify who are sons of God and who are sons of the devil. All those who do not act with righteousness and does not love the believers does not belong to God.
