Bible Lesson 19

How can we be saved?

By faith in the Son of God

Most religions claim that you need to do something in order to make things right with the supernatural authorities. Some claim sacrifices, others good actions… even the typical American cultural religion vaguely says that you have to “be a good person” or “be true to yourself” or something like that.

But Christianity says that the work has been done for us, by Jesus Christ, and that we can never save ourselves. We can only be saved by putting our faith in the Savior!

Salvos por la fe

Efesios 2

Saved by faith

Ephesians 2

For by grace you have been saved, through faith; this does not come from yourselves, but it is the gift of God, not by works, so that nobody can boast. Because we are the work of God, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God planned beforehand so that we would put them into practice.

Romans 10

This is the word of faith that we preach: that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is the Lord, and you believe in your heart that God raised him from among the dead, you will be saved. Because with the heart one believes to be justified, but with the mouth one confessed to be saved. Thus says the Scripture: “All those who trust in him will not ever be disappointed.”
