Bible Lesson 13

What did Jesus do?

He Taught Us to Pray

The apostle Paul taught us that we should bring all of our concerns and needs to God in prayer. However, when Jesus taught his disciples to pray, he showed us what our greatest priorities should be in prayer.

  • That God be honored and obeyed here on earth
  • That our basic needs be met
  • That our sins be forgiven
  • That we be rescued from doing evil, and from evil happening to us

It’s good for us to take time to reflect on our prayers, and see if our priorities match what Jesus showed us in this passage.

Nos enseñó como orar

Mateo 6

(9) Padre nuestro que estás en el cielo, santificado sea tu nombre,

(10) venga tu reino, hágase tu voluntad en la tierra como en el cielo.

(11) Danos hoy nuestro pan cotidiano.

(12) Perdónanos nuestras deudas, como también nosotros hemos perdonado a nuestros deudores.

(13) Y no nos dejes caer en tentación, sino líbranos del maligno.

He taught us how to pray

Mateo 6

Our Father who is in heaven, may your name be honored as holy,

May your kingdom come, may your will be done on the earth as in heaven.

Give us today our daily bread.

Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

And don’t allow us to fall into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
