Bible Lesson 10

Who Is Jesus?

He Became a Human Being

When Jesus was born as a human, it changed history forever, and not just human or earthly history, but the eternal history of all that exists. God had made man in his image, but now God made himself in our image. He became one of us, subject to all the same weaknesses and temptations, but without sin, and also able to experience all the same joys and pleasures.

God loved us enough to become one of us, in order to bring us back to himself, so that we can be in close relationship with him forever… What a Savior!

Jesús se hizo humano

Juan 14

Jesus became human

John 14

If you all really knew me, you also would know who my Father is. From now on, you know him and have seen him.

Phillip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father and we will be satisfied.”

Jesus responded to him, “Phillip, have I been with you all this time, and still you don’t know who I am? Those who have seen me have seen the Father! Therefore, why do you ask me to show you the Father? Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say are not mine, but that my Father, who lives in me, does his work through me. Just believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe through the works that you have see me do.”

Philippians 2

Although he was God, he didn’t consider being equal to God to be something to cling to. Instead, he renounced his divine privileges; he adopted the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being.
