Who Is God?
God is the Creator!
One of the most fundamental truths about God, life, history and the universe is that God is the cause of it all, the ever-existing One who gave birth to everything else.
Why is this so important? If He made it all, then it all belongs to Him, including our lives. Also, if He created it, then He knows more about it than we do, and we need to trust Him to guide us, rather than our own wisdom or opinions.

Genesis 1
(1)En el principio Dios creó los cielos y la tierra. (2)La tierra estaba sin orden y vacía, y las tinieblas cubrían la superficie del abismo, y el Espíritu de Dios se movía sobre la superficie de las aguas. (3)Entonces dijo Dios: “Sea la luz.” Y hubo luz. (4)Dios vio que la luz era buena; y Dios separó la luz de las tinieblas. (5)Y Dios llamó a la luz día y a las tinieblas llamó noche.
(11)Entonces dijo Dios: “Produzca la tierra vegetación: hierbas que den semilla, y árboles frutales que den su fruto con su semilla sobre la tierra según su especie.” Y así fue.
(20)Entonces dijo Dios: “Llénense las aguas de multitudes de seres vivientes, y vuelen las aves sobre la tierra en la abierta expansión de los cielos.”
(24)”Produzca la tierra seres vivientes según su especie: ganado, reptiles y animales de la tierra según su especie.” Y así fue. (25)Dios hizo las bestias de la tierra según su especie, y el ganado según su especie, y todo lo que se arrastra sobre la tierra según su especie. Y Dios vio que era bueno.

God is the Creator
Genesis 1
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without order and empty, and the darkness covered the surface of the abyss, and the Spirit of God moved over the surface of the waters. Then said God, “Let there be light.” And there was light. God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness. And God called the light day and the darkness he called night.
Then said God, “Let the land produce vegetation: plants that give seeds, and fruit trees that give their fruit with their seed upon the earth according to their species.” And thus it was.
Then said God, “Fill up the waters with multitudes of living beings, and let fly the birds over the earth in the open expanse of the heavens.”
“Let the land produce living beings according to their species: livestock, reptiles and animals of the earth according to their species.” And so it was. God made the beasts of the earth according to their species, and the livestock according according to their species, and everything that crawls upon the earth according to their species. And God saw that it was good.

2. Open the English translation, and read the two side-by-side, making sure you understand the Spanish.
3. Close the English, and listen to the audio again, reading along in Spanish.
4. Close the Spanish, and listen once more. Maybe shut your eyes, and just try to understand as much as you can.
