Bible Lesson 27
Jesús Ora – Jesus Prays
The night before his death, Jesus prayed for his disciples. He then prayed for all believers who would come after, who would believe based on the testimony of these disciples. That includes us, those who believe today!
And Hebrews tells us that Jesus didn’t just pray for us that one time, but that he is our Great High Priest, who lives to pray for us eternally!
Notice Jesus’ concerns here: protection, unity, glory, love.
How amazing: God the Father loves us with the same love he has for his son, Jesus! And he wants us to be with him, and to share his glory!
Notice also what he says about unity; we as Christians are to be one just as he and the Father are one. And if we do this, the world will know that Jesus was truly sent by the Father.
How to Use This Page:
1. Listen to the audio as you read along with the Spanish on the left.
2. Open the English translation, and read the two side-by-side, making sure you understand the Spanish.
3. Close the English, and listen to the audio again, reading along in Spanish.
4. Close the Spanish, and listen once more. Maybe shut your eyes, and just try to catch as much as you can.
Please note: I omitted some verses from this passage, not because they are less important, and definitely not because I disagree with Jesus’ words or want to change the passage. I simply needed to shorten the selection. The missing verses are 7 through 11 and 21 through 23.
